For the life of me, I can't get back into the groove of blogging. To be honest, I feel like I fell off the blogging wheel a year or so ago and I am a newbie all over, racking my brain for content and crossing my fingers for comments. It's my fault, I know. I took a good thing, cast it aside, and am expecting to pick up where I left off. And that's not happening. I have to earn my followers back, coming up with creative, new content and spreading the comment love as well. (Side note...I read so many of your blogs and then don't comment. Sorry! I know better!) So, bear with me while I attempt to get my groove back!

Another topic that is always on my mind is career vs. kids/family. Can you really have it all? Erin Gates from Elements of Style wrote a fantastic blog post last week about life in your thirties. It a must read...check it out here. It talks about the struggle she is having with wanting children but wanting her career as well. She is on the fast track and has a career that I am incredibly envious of. It's a good read and gets me thinking a lot. It also talks about all the changes in your thirties and how friends all end up in different places in their lives. Never really thought about all of that until I read the post. So, it's a must read for all you ladies!

As I was perusing Pinterest (like I am constantly doing), I clicked on a photo for the home of Hannah Seabrook of Gadabout featured in The Glitter Guide.

How did I not know about this site?! It was such a great discovery, one of the things I love about Pinterest! There are a ton of articles about fashion, beauty and lifestyle topics. Seriously check it out asap!

I absolutely loved getting a peek into Hannah's home! I have always been a fan of Gadabout. The blog is impeccable with the perfect blend of style, beautiful images, and southern grace. Her home is exactly the same!

How stylish is she? Huge case of fashion envy right now!

My mind is always going 90 miles an hour with a ton of random thoughts and if I get a quiet minute, I try to make a list of all the things I am thinking about. It could be with the kids, the house, work...really its all three at the same time.

This is kind of a dump post, with a few of those random thoughts!

The twins are growing like weeds! Since I know these are my last little babies, I am trying to savor every toothless smile and coo. Having a 5 year old already, I know these moments will be gone before I know it.

Here's a recent pic...Harper is on the left (and yes, she has clothes but I drape her in a burp cloth since she has a penchant for spitting up EVERYWHERE) and Hudson is on the right. Such cuties right? I may be partial...

I have been trying to lose this baby weight lately and that means I really need to watch what I eat and make time for exercise. Easy enough. I go onto Pinterest to look for healthy recipes...

It's Market week in High Point and I am admiring everyone's great finds and wishing I could be there!! A wonderfully fabulous designer from the Tampa area, Michelle Jennings Wiebe, is one of the Market's "Style Spotters" this spring and I am loving all the things she's pinning.

How great is this chandelier from Arteriors?! Talk about a statement piece!!

twins' nursery

In my serious lack of blogging, I realized I had never posted pics of the babies' nursery!

I needed to create something gender neutral since it is a room for a boy and a girl so I looked to my stand by color, navy, to help me get this accomplished! I had a remnant of a beautiful green and navy floral that I used as my starting off point. I had that made into simple box-pleat valances with a navy band. We chose espresso cribs to create a richer look in the room. I also had a super comfy chair slipcovered in white with navy banding ( I know..."White chair in a nursery?!?" It is a slipcover I can wash and has been stain treated so hopefully it holds up!!).

Above the cribs is still a work in progress and with my hands full with babies, it might be for awhile!!

This pretty much sums up how I feel most of the time, always trying to do my best being the best mother possible, the best wife to my husband, a good friend, etc....

While I make more mistakes than I would like to admit, I always have the best intentions and try my absolute hardest!

I do love me some flats...ballet, loafer, any kind, all the time! I am digging these from Tory Burch. The tan canvas and pop of orange make them perfect for warmer weather. Can totally picture them with a crisp white button-down and dark denim cropped skinnies! Would definitely make my days spent running around with the kids a little more chic and fashionable!

How creative is this storage in the kitchen? Using iron etageres placed on top of counters as storage and display in the kitchen...would have never thought of it! The rest of the space isn't too shabby either! The over-sized chandelier definitely makes a statement!

I didn't discover the Clarisonic this week but it is a favorite of mine any day of the week! I got it awhile ago and have been meaning to write about how awesome it is for some time. I use it in the morning and it scrubs the late night away and leaves my face feeling fresh and rejuvenated! Since I have been using it, I have had hardly any breakouts which is a plus! I would recommend this product to everyone!

This weekend is supposed to be pretty chilly by Florida standards. Looking forward to getting a few more days in of boots and scarves and then they are off to the closet until December!

It may be that spring is around the corner or that I have bought way too many boxes of Thin Mints this week, but mint has really been on my mind lately. It started when I spied it on a pair of jeans a couple weeks ago at the Gap and ever since then I have been in love! It's so fresh looking and is a really versatile color that pairs nicely with simple white all the way to a bright orange.

Thanks for all your sweet comments yesterday about our little bundles of joy!!

I want to also thank The Nest for asking me to be a part of the "100 Days of Organization" post on their website! Organization is huge for me and I can't stand for things not to have a place and to be in order. Ask my mom, less than a week after coming home from the hospital with the twins, I was making a list a mile long of things I wanted to re-organize around my house!

I can't wait to read other's organization tips on the post as well! I am always looking for ideas!!

I am simply head over heels in love with Phillip Jeffries new collection of wallcovering! It combines a few of my favorite things...natural ground (linen, grasscloth), bold prints, fabulous colors!

There's a trellis print, a little chinois, a "China Seas"-esque print, just so much goodness!

With fall in full swing and cooler temperatures, it has me drooling over leather boots, sweaters, and scarves. Oh, wait never mind, I live in Florida and am still sweating when I make the 1 minute walk to my car and wouldn't dare swap my flip flops for boots unless I wanted to have a complete heat stroke! I think all the other Floridians can agree...this is the time of the year when we are over the Sunshine State. Give us changing leaves and temperatures cool enough to want to be outside for more than 5 minutes!

Until then, here is some fashion inspiration to look forward to when the temperatures finally do drop!

With my due date set for January, I am trying to get as much done as possible on my decorating to do list before the barrage of holidays. I have been wanting to get window treatments up in my daughter's room since we moved in last November, and as usual, designers don't ever get to their own projects! But, I finally got moving and ordered fabric for new window valances and a throw pillow in her room.

It is in a navy and hot pink color scheme, which I absolutely love! But, it is definitely lacking!

I preach to my clients all the time how window treatments can really change it a room and completely finish it off. So, I am taking my own advice! She has three windows in her room and I decided to do a faux roman shade in a fun navy and white geometric with a wide fabric border down the sides and bottom. I also had a pink greek key trim I was dying to use so I am going to have a little bolster pillow made for her bed with the trim along the ends.

I am so excited to see this room come together!!! I will definitely post pics once it's all complete!

missing in action

July?! Has that really been the last time I blogged? Yikes!

I feel so out of the loop in the blogosphere and I look forward to catching up! I have a perfectly good excuse for missing in action recently! We are expanding our family, not by two feet, but by four! That's right, we are expecting twins!! You would think by the middle of my 2nd trimester it would have sank in by now, but I still feel shock as I type!

Lol, it definitely didn't feel like I had any superpowers the first trimester when I could barely move and spent most of my time in the bathroom! The second trimester is proving to be better with less sickness but the bigger I get, the more it takes to get me moving.

I know there are a plenty of moms out there with experience with twins, so please any advice is much appreciated!!!

I was approached by the ever so sweet, Kar' Lei from Sorting with Style, about using some of their great office products and telling my readers what I loved about them.

Sorting with Style is a great website that would make any working girl want to get her desk in order! They sent me a few items including file folders, note pad, pen, and the "Schedule It" sticky notes.

My favorite items were the polka dot notepad and pen. I am an obsessive list maker and this notepad has plenty of room for me to fill it up with what I need to do everyday! I am also a bit of a pen snob and this pen passed the test!

There are soooo many great items on their website Their prices are great and shipping is always free! I know all of you guys will find something you need at Sorting with Style!!

Last week was very busy, I am deep into two big client projects and I spent all last week pulling fabrics, selecting furniture, and picking light fixtures. I am soo excited to see these projects come to life! The craziness of fabrics everywhere, pics of furniture, inspiration images....that's the part I love about my job!

I also have to share a picture of a little something I picked up this weekend at an antiques fair. It's a little alligator. Too bad it didn't bring any luck to the Gators basketball team last Saturday!!
